McKenzy’s take on Las Vegas Summer Market

My first market and such a “pinch me” moment! It was an overwhelming experience that I’m still trying to process. But because we all know the choices are seemingly endless, I wanted to share some of the trends and pieces that initially popped to me. Hope you all can find some inspiration here!

At market, we talked a lot about how design can maintain connectivity between the family that lives in the home and the surrounding nature. This was music to my ears given this is the foundation from which Goldenbird Design was built. Earthy textures (think: boucle, organic wood, plaster) continue to lead. Lighting, which is always such an important component of design, took shape in more structural forms. We’re seeing light sources evolve into pieces of art in the home and it’s very cool. Most importantly, there is an embracing of “perfectly imperfect” and prioritizing spaces (hello, dining room) that foster people coming together in the home again.

Currey & Company

Catrice Pendant

I fell in love with these rose-colored Capiz shells. Such delicate detail that will look beautiful bedside,.

MITZI

Rhea Sconce

The ceramic detailing accented by aged brass makes this one of my new favorite bath sconces.

Mitzi

Alana Semi-flush Mount

Words can’t express how beautiful this piece is in person. The linen is airy but still grounded, and the scalloped detailing is so sweet. This would look great in a bedroom with painted walls or wallpaper.

FOUR HANDS

Tybalt Swivel Chair

Modern, yet cozy. This swivel chair in sheepskin camel is a welcoming piece to curl up with a good book or glass of wine.

FOUR HANDS

Dinnerware

Four Hands unveiled their new dinnerware line at Market, and I seriously want every piece. Especially the speckled dinner plates and the organic, textured ceramic mugs.

UNION HOME

Centro Bar Stool

We love the lines on this stool and the high performance fabric. It is also supremely comfortable.

Los Poblanos

Vela de Bosque Candle

Pine, fir and juniper create the most calming, woods-like scent. But honestly anything and everything from Los Poblanos is a must.
